Commercial use is permitted after acquiring a license. Individual terms and conditions of business and use then apply.
Legal provisions remain unaffected and fully valid, e.g. the statutory right to quote.
Exception: Free license for non-commercial use for exclusively internal purposes by manufacturers.
The manufacturer whose service, product and/or offer has been evaluated or tested is granted a free, non-exclusive, geographically limited to Germany, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license to use the relevant reports, seals and award logos, provided that ALL of the following conditions are fully met:
All other provisions on this page remain fully valid and unaffected. If all the above-mentioned conditions are met, no explicit written consent is required; a so-called “free license” is thereby granted. Any use beyond these limitations is not covered by the “free license.” A “free license” is identifiable by the suffix “-F” in the license ID.
This allows, for example, the use of reports and seals for internal communication on the intranet, presentations or newsletters to inform employees that a particular award has been given.

The use of texts for quoting purposes does not require permission. It is permitted to quote up to 100 words from any article (e.g., report) without the express consent of BaySec – Bayerische Gesellschaft für Cybersicherheit mbH, provided that a clearly visible link to the original source and the mention of “eusec.net” or “BaySec – Bayerische Gesellschaft für Cybersicherheit mbH” as the source are included.
